GET RID OF FLEAS

Signs of a Flea Infestation
One of the first indications of a flea infestation is not always what it seems. The most common way to identify a flea infestation is from the behavior of pets in the homes. When pets are seen repeatedly scratching or grooming themselves, it is important to first confirm there are fleas.
Check for other indications of fleas include flea dirt or flea feces, which appears similar to ground pepper, and will likely by found in the pet’s bed – on carpets, or other areas the pet spends time.
A thorough examination of the pet’s fur should be conducted by either the homeowner or their veterinarian.
Humans can also experience uncomfortable and itchy bites from fleas. People also may experience bites which leave behind itchy bite marks.

THE PROCESS

Getting rid of fleas in 24 hours simply isn’t possible. Flea infestations require multifaceted – and multistage treatment plans. This is because there are four stages in a flea’s life cycle – all requiring different methods to eliminate. While eggs, larvae, and adult fleas are relatively easy to kill, you will not be able to kill fleas in the pupae stage without kerosene and a match. It is necessary to wait for these fleas to grow into adulthood before addressing the infestation again. If you do not address the problem in more than one stage, you will find yourself right back where you started again in a few weeks time. Never trust an exterminator who tells you that a one-time treatment is sufficient.
Preparing for Flea Removal:
